Everything is going just swell for Tina, she is a cheerleader, vice president of her class, and excels at math and science. But one day she reads about a potion that will give the one who drinks it “incredible powers.” Tina makes said cocktail but it explodes. It’s a really really big explosion taking the whole school apart. Luckily Tina had to sneak in late at night so no one was around except her (or so she thinks). Somehow Tina survives the blast, but everyone assumes she is dead. Tense and sad moments present themselves.
When Tina arrives home the next morning, Howard (Tina’s father) and Gina (Tina’s mother), are relieved. Everything was back to normal until Tina wakes up the next morning to discover she is turning into a dragon.
Hilarity ensues as Tina tries desperately to reverse her transformation before it is too late. Meanwhile Tad Hicks, the school janitor is undergoing the same transformation, but is using his new found powers for evil! Like stealing snow cones, and smashing dog houses. Now Tina must decide whether to change back or go and stop Tad before he makes a total mess of like the whole planet!
Tina stops Tad in an epic battle and then finishes the transformation, but it turns out to be temporary and with three years slowly turns back to normal. At graduation she can barely even breath fire. Tina destroys the book that describes the potion and the world is all peaches and pandas again.
